Upcoming Meeting

To all ushers:

Wednesday, February 8th, from 6pm to 7pm, there will be a meeting regarding the usher ministry. We will meet at FBC in the sanctuary. This is a critical meeting that will discuss how we can improve the way we currently serve the people of FBC and give each of us a chance to ask questions or voice any concerns we might have. We will be going over the responsibilities and expectations that are placed upon us as ushers. We will also be welcoming those who are new to the usher ministry.

Please be ready to share any suggestions you might have to improve our ministry.

Call me with any questions: 925-5920.

Thanks for all you do.

Eddie

Purpose

     Our purpose is to serve those who walk through those church doors each Sunday morning.  We must be looking and listening for opportunities to encourage, welcome and present a warm, Christ centered atmosphere for all to worship and grow.  Scripture instructs us in regard to what our focus must be in Philippians 2:3-5;

"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus..."

   We remember that Jesus was the one to wash the feet of His disciples, an act considered to be the lowliest of services even to slaves.  But to the one who was called "Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" this was an act of greatness in His Kingdom.
