The Morris Family

Greetings, friends and family,
We are excited to invite you to join us in support, through finance and/or prayer, to embark on a new adventure with us. During July 31st- August 4, our family of 5, alongside other mission minded families and individuals will be partnering with The Afghan Church of Fremont, California to serve their local community through various outreach projects. Some of the activities we will be participating in will be: the distribution of food, Bibles, backpacks and school supplies and facilitating children’s activities. It is our objective to use this opportunity to make connections, serve needs and start building relationships with people in this community so that, we might share the gospel and love of our Savior with them. It is our whole-hearted desire that our family’s participation in this mission trip will be an introductory first step down a continuing path to do our part in fulfilling the call to spread the Good News of Jesus to every nation, tribe and tongue. In order to reach our goal we must raise enough funds to support our family of 5 for housing, food and transportation for the 5 day trip. Any support that can be offered, whether spiritual or financial, will be gratefully welcomed and appreciated. To learn more, be updated on the trip or to make a financial contribution you can visit: https://fbcmountshasta.com/fremont-mission/ or

The Schieber Family

Hello Christians,

May this letter find peace in you heart through our God. We are sharing this letter with you as we are embarking on a new journey that finds us a bit out of our comfort level. We will be with our Christian brothers and sisters on a four day Mission trip that has us feeling both excited and apprehensive. We are excited to serve God and help a community with a need to find the joy and salvation of Jesus Christ. We say apprehensive only because we have never served the Lord in this way and we really do not know what to expect. All we really know, as always, this is in God hands, Commit your activities to the Lord and your plans will be established. (Proverbs 16:3)

We will be joining more than 25 other Christian believers on a four day mission to a large Afghan community in Fremont, CA, July 31- August 4, 2024. This community primarily identifies as Muslim but like many communities across our country, daily life is often a secular one. Our specific mission is to support an Afghan Christian church as they continue to bring the Gospel to the lives of those seeking the truth. We will be supplying school aged children with backpacks filled with needed school supplies and a Bible. Additionally, we will engage with the community sharing the Word as they enjoy children activities in the local church and parks.

While we engage with the Afghan people in these communities we are looking forward to obtain a better understanding of their culture, beliefs, and life in a Muslim environment. We know God will guide us with the Holy Spirit as we share our experience in life as a Christian. our Mission is not to convert Muslims, our mission is to plant the seed of the joy and water, the hope of a life that resides only through Jesus Christ, God will take care of the rest. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6).

We have been so blessed to have this opportunity to serve the Lord. We ask for your support in prayer. He who calls you is faithful, he will do it. Brothers and sisters pray for us also.

(1 Thessalonians 5:24-25).

The Holst Family

Dear Friends and Family,

We are excited to share with you God's calling on our lives to participate in a mission trip to Fremont, CA, July 31-Aug 4, 2024 to partner with the Afghan American Church in spreading the Gospel. For the past few years, we have visited, prayed and supported this church plant amongst the Afghan population there. We have been blessed to partner with several missionaries there and now with Pastor Mike and Hannah and their daughter Muzhda. Years ago, in his native country of Afghanistan, Pastor Mike received a dream from Jesus instructing him, "Share my gospel with your people, my son." As a result, Pastor Mike became a Christian, was persecuted for his faith and fled to the US where he has developed a ministry online and in person to fulfill the vision of sharing the gospel with his people. Through the years, we have been involved with our missions committee in developing the mission mindedness of our congregation at First Baptist Church (FBC) Mount Shasta, through our connections to local, national and international ministries. Mount Shasta does not have many local opportunities to encourage our church members to be involved in multi-cultural settings, so we are excited that this mission trip will involve gospel outreach amongst the Muslim population there.

For the past few months, we have been developing a team of senders and travelers, resulting in a team of individuals and families from FBC Mount Shasta to partner with this ministry, specifically with back-to-school backpack and Bible distribution events for the local Muslim population. We are excited as many of the team will be participating in their first mission trip. As disciples of Christ, we are using our resources to help the followers of Christ in Fremont to make disciples in their community, fulfilling Jesus' command in Matthew 28:18-20. We are inviting you to be a part of what God is doing, by prayerfully and financially supporting this trip. We are gathering donations for the mission projects we will be doing while there: Distributing Bibles in many languages and backpacks full of school supplies. If you'd like to donate towards the projects, donations are $25.00 per backpack for supplies and $10.00 per Bible. Each team traveler is developing a support team to prayerfully and financially support the trip and we invite you to be a part of our team. If you would like to pray for the team, please pray for the following:

-The Gospel will be shared clearly through each interaction and each distribution event
- FBC congregation members will develop a local, national and international mission mindset
- Team members will trust the Lord deeply with provision and preparation as we prepare to minister to Muslim communities

The Afghan American church disciples will be blessed and encouraged to reach their community with the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. Each Bible and backpack will be a reminder to the student/family to pursue truth and Jesus Christ
If you would like to financially support the mission projects, you may send a donation to First Baptist Mount Shasta, (812 Lassen Lane, Mt. Shasta, CA 96067), indicating it for the 2024 Mission Trip, or follow this link:

We are so blessed to be able to participate in this trip knowing that God goes before us as we serve in Jesus' name. We are eagerly anticipating all the ways God will grow and mature us, the team and our entire congregation.

If you would like to be a part of our team, we would love to connect with you more about the trip. You may reach out to us at holstbunch@gmail.com or by text/phone: David (530 859-0446) Lori (530 859-0449.) We look forward to connecting soon!

The Carter Family

Dear Friends & Family,

The Carter family would love to share the great news that our family - Nathan, Darcy, Trilium, Adelaine, Immanuel, and Amber will be going on a mission trip this July/August to Fremont to serve the people of the Afghan American Church. This trip is organized by The First Baptist Church in Mt Shasta. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15

The projects we will be involved with include, but are not limited to; preparing backpacks including Bibles in various languages for distribution to families, helping with the backpack distribution main event including multiple stations/booths for families and children to engage, have fun, and build bridges to introduce the Gospel of Jesus Christ and share God's love with others. We will also be available to help with any other projects that Mike and Hannah are needing support with while we are there. "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12.

We are in need of prayers and financial support from you, our friends and family.
Please ponder and pray about how you can partner with us to affect others for good by serving the people and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ's Gospel. We would appreciate prayers and any donations, small or large. Please pray for our safety and that hearts will be softened (both ours and those we serve), to come to know and love Jesus more fully and to follow him. "As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God" 1 Peter 4:10.

If you are able to financially support our mission and the service projects that we will participate in, you may send a donation to First Baptist Mount Shasta, (812 Lassen Lane, Mt. Shasta, CA, 96087), with a memo indicating it for the Fremont Bibles and Backpacks Mission/Carters, or follow the link on the Mt Shasta First Baptist Church website. You can also find more details about the upcoming mission trip by visiting the link regarding the Fremont Mission Trip on Mt Shasta First Baptist Church's website.

If you have any questions or would like to connect with us about the mission trip, please feel free to reach out to Nathan (541)690-4321, or Darcy (530)925-0674.
